When you use your Android device, you’ll be logged into a Google account which is usually connected to your email, Google Play store and other features such as Contacts. The beauty of using an account is that what you do on one device can be synced to others and you can see the specifics of your account online. When you visit the Play store in your desktop computer web browser while logged in to your Google account, you’ll be able to see all the content you’ve installed. If you connect your device to your computer you can also download new apps directly through your browser and manage the apps you currently own. You’ll need a USB cable to connect your device and you should have one that came in the box when you purchased it Viewing your account online is good way to keep tabs of all the media you’v purchased and is a good option if you’re planning on downloading large volumes, apps and media, and you don’t want to eat into your mobile data allowance.

Connect to a computer

1: Connect your device Use a USB cable to connect your device to your computer — both Mac and Windows computers will work. When it is plugged in you’ll see a small USB icon on the top of the screen, which will show that it is connected to your computer.
